1. About these terms
These terms apply when you access or use Quote My Project (QMP), including when you register as a trade professional, submit or respond to a project, or otherwise use the marketplace. By using QMP you agree to these terms.
2. What QMP does
QMP is an online marketplace that helps customers and independent trades or service professionals find each other. QMP does not itself provide the building, repair, maintenance or other services advertised through the platform and does not manage or supervise work.
Any agreement for work is made directly between the customer and the chosen trade professional. QMP is not a party to that agreement.
3. Customer responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate project information and for deciding who to contact or appoint. Before appointing a trade, customers should make checks appropriate to the work, which may include identity, experience, qualifications, memberships, references, insurance, licences and written quotations.
4. Trade responsibilities
Trades must provide accurate, current and non-misleading registration information and must only offer work they are legally entitled, competent and appropriately insured to undertake. Trades are responsible for their own quotations, communications, tax obligations, contracts, work, warranties and compliance with applicable law.
5. Founding Trade offer
The Founding Trade promotion is intended for the first 500 eligible trade registrations accepted by QMP during the launch period. Founding Trade registration is free. Registration is subject to QMP's eligibility, duplicate and misuse checks and does not guarantee work, leads or customer enquiries. QMP may reject, suspend or remove registrations that are false, duplicated, abusive, unsuitable or contrary to these terms.
6. No endorsement or guarantee
Registration, inclusion, status or visibility on QMP does not amount to an endorsement, certification or guarantee by QMP of a trade professional, customer, project or workmanship. QMP does not guarantee that a project will receive responses or that a trade will win work.
7. Future customer fees
Customer project posting is currently marked as coming soon. Any fee will be clearly shown before a customer is asked to pay. Additional payment and cancellation terms will be provided when paid customer posting launches.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use QMP unlawfully; submit false or misleading information; impersonate another person or business; send spam; attempt to interfere with the platform; scrape or misuse data; or use QMP to promote prohibited, fraudulent or unsafe activity.
9. Content
You remain responsible for information and content you submit. You give QMP permission to store, process and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the marketplace, subject to our Privacy Policy.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw features, listings or access where reasonably necessary, including for security, maintenance, misuse or legal reasons. We may update these terms and will publish the current version on the website.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, QMP is not responsible for the acts or omissions of customers or trades, the quality or completion of work, or losses arising from a contract made directly between users. Users remain responsible for carrying out appropriate checks and protecting their own interests.
12. Complaints and contact
Questions or complaints about the QMP platform can be sent to info@quotemyproject.uk. Complaints about work should normally be raised directly between the customer and the trade who contracted for that work.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the United Kingdom jurisdiction relevant to the user and nothing in them removes any mandatory consumer rights you may have.
